Ireland - North Coast Scenic Drive

The nearby Carra Castle was once owned by Shane O'Neill. He imprisoned one of the MacDonnells in this castle. O'Neill was killed in 1567 during a clash with the MacDonnells and his head displayed at Dublin Castle. Each place we visit has many stories such as this so it is easy to imagine where the series 'Game of Thrones' got its inspiration from.
